Background
Chris founded Total Football Analysis (TFA) in 2019 and ran it until 2024, building it into a home for tactical analysis, scouting and data used by clubs, players and agents.
From 2020 to 2024 he was Director of Scouting and Analysis Operations at Vélez CF, where he built the scouting and analysis departments, the recruitment process and an in-house scouting tool. Through remote scouting for clubs and agencies worldwide he has been involved in more than 100 player transfers, and he has consulted for clubs in Serie A, MLS and Sweden.
What he covers
Club and league strength around the world, recruitment and scouting, lower-league players ready to step up, manager tenure, and the gap between results and performance.
How he works
Every number in a Beaumont Index piece is checked against our own data before publication. Claims about people and clubs need at least two independent reports. Mistakes are corrected in the open on our corrections page. See our editorial standards. Read more about the site and our methodology.
